NEW NFF/ICM POLL

A new analysis of a major ICM poll on Europe, domestic politics, and the Conservative Party is available below. It examines the state of opinion on the Constitution and how the referendum battle may develop, attitudes to foreign policy generally, and attitudes to the parties. It examines the most effective arguments against the Constitution and sketches some ideas about how Europe should be approached by opponents of the euro and Constitution, and those who wish to transform our current relationship with the EU. It finds strong support for the idea of taking back power over trade, employment, and civil rights, and for creation of a new global trade and defence alliance - a sort of new NATO for the 21st Century.
